My Daily Journaling Since Age 15

I have maintained a diary since July 9, 1992, when I was 15 years old. I wrote in it every day because I believed it was a good hobby that demonstrated my diligence and perseverance. Over time, the diary itself has proven to be something that makes me unique. After years of writing, I realized that my simple daily entries allowed me to “remember" much more detail about my life than others, whose lives pass without leaving a trace and are easily forgotten by our fragile brain memory.

I am on my way to becoming one of the earliest and most prolific diary writers in human history. It captures in great detail my highs, lows, and daily life. Even when it records stretches of mundaneness and boredom for days and weeks, the boredom itself speaks volumes.

It’s important to note that my diary now exists in several copies, located in different places.

First, there is a complete online copy that includes every diary entry from the very beginning (July 9, 1992) to the last day of my life or the last day I am able to write. Although this secret website is accessible (i.e., not password-protected), it intentionally blocks search engines from indexing it, so it’s not easy to locate through normal means. However, this secret website will become visible on my semi-open diary website “when the time comes."

The second copy of the diary, an incomplete version, is already available online at https://mr6.life. This site includes entries from September 10, 2019, to the last day of my life or the last day I am able to write. You can read it on the site daily, or you can subscribe to my mailing list to receive updates.

The third copy is a set of 13 printed books published in 2018. I self-published the diary, which includes all entries from the beginning (July 9, 1992) to sometime in 2018. A total of 100 sets were printed in 2018. Most of them (over 80 boxes) are still stored in a temporary storage facility with the publishing company elephantwhite.com.tw in Taichung, Taiwan.

The fourth copy consists of backup PDF and Word files stored in several locations: (1) The black external hard drive on my desk in my Richmond home and (2) My Dropbox account. Note that this copy may only include the “typed" diary entries (i.e., not handwritten), starting in 2000 up to the last day of my life or the last day I am able to write.

The fifth copy is the original handwritten diary, which includes notebooks from the beginning (July 9, 1992) to the year 2000. There are nearly 30 notebooks stored in a tin box in my Richmond home. Additionally, there is an enlarged replica of the handwritten diary (a photocopied version) stored in my paid storage at morespace.com.tw. Also, there are scanned copies of the handwritten diary existing in two places: (1) The black external hard drive on my desk in my Richmond home and (2) My Dropbox account.
